K Rend - the beginning
Based in Country Antrim, K Rend was established over 80 years ago in 1939 and quickly became established as an alternative to painting the outside of a house. K Rend traditionally offered manufactured traditional English thick coat renders whilst in Europe, other suppliers of rendering solutions offered thin coat renders which were a lot more popular. Although other European suppliers were first to market with thin coat renders, K Rend invested in its product development and marketing and today, it offers what is arguably a higher quality solution.
Continual development
In fact, as technologies and science has evolved, K Rend has continued to develop its solutions. Over the years, K Rend invested considerably in research and product design to perfect their solutions for the British weather and various styles of homes across the UK. Today, K Rend offers a range of thin coat solutions including a smooth silicone smooth coat and a more traditional looking silicone scraped texture.
K Rend has also increased its range of colours over time to offer more than 20 different textures for its smooth coat product!
An increasing number of accreditations
In line with its continual development, K Rend has built trust based on offering quality solutions that have been awarded various accreditations including the prestigious kitemark licence to BS EN 15827:2009 as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Awards and accreditations include work they have done in product development, staff management and how they care for the environment.
Caring in the community
K Rend has also built up a reputation for providing support in the community, welcoming a number of schools to their facilities each year and with other community support activities. According to the the K Rend website:
